As an Orlando resident, and given the number of other cruise options departing from Port Canaveral, I would not choose Carnival again.

Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Food in the main dining rooms was luke warm at best. I never felt like a plate was made especially for me. Seemed like plates were staged and then delivered to whoever ordered that entre. We even tried to order an entre with the sauce on the side, and it arrived barely warm also. Lots of managers visible in the dining rooms, but i never saw them interact with any guests unless it was to diffuse a problem. I guess Carnival does not require their dining room managers to complete table visits. Breakfast lines at the buffets had ridiculously long wait times. Over 40 minutes to get an omelet made. I am not sure why they didn't organize additional stations to reduce the wait times.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
On board activities were fun and numerous. I always look forward to the onboard comedians, and to the singer in the piano bar. There was an adults only pool area. This cruise also included karaoke. There was a wide range of talent, but guests were equally supportive regardless of talent level.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Stage shows were typical cruise ship "cheesy." DJ's were excellent, and other live performances were better than expected. The Latin singers by the casino were far better than expected.
Children's Programs
I did not travel with any children.
Service and Staff
1 out of 5
Carnival somehow decided that the drink package I purchased (at the current posted price) upon boarding the ship was incorrect so they added an upcharge on my folio for the difference. This was not discovered until the night before disembarkation. Nobody on the ship was able to resolve the "overcharge." Calls and emails to GuestCare have so far (one month after the cruise) have not been answered. Carnival is actually fighting my dispute with my credit card company. Our room had a dental floss stick on the floor when we first arrived. I am not sure how something so large was missed. It was immediately cleaned. The stewards manager arrived to apologize also. The ships internet service is worthless. We did receive a refund after we complained about the inconsistent wifi service.

Initial cleanliness of the room was unacceptable, but the dental floss stick found on the floor at arrival was quickly cleaned. The cleanliness and service provided by the room steward was much better afterwards.
Staff on board the ship are not empowered to solve any billing issues. Carnival requires all billing issues to be directed GuestCare after disembarkation. But a month after my cruise I still have not received a response from GuestCare
Meals are prepared this way on all cruise lines and I have been on several. With the amount of people eating at once it would be impossible to prepare each plate specific to an individual unless they had a food allergy. Checking your onboard account daily is advisable to avoid situations such as yours. I know the drink package recently increased in price so maybe this was the reason or the overcharge?
We have always checked our bill daily. It’s best to get things resolved ASAPz Appreciate your feedback. Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations.
Whaaat?? I just called and spoke to someone from princess and they told me the alcohol drink package covers drinks at princess cays???!? Now it doesn't ?
