This was a very relaxing, enjoyable cruise. We would consider another and maybe even taking the grandkids on one. Unlikely we would do the Carnival Freedom again, as she is showing her age. This was our second cruise but the first one was 34 years ago-boy have things changed.
Embarkation

Things were fairly smooth but more direction on what to do when we got on the ship would have been appreciated
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The staff in the dining room (Chic dining room) were wonderful. BIG shout out to Gil, Maria, and Wilson-they were excellent. The food was very good and portions were appropriate. Loved the freedom to book when we were ready to eat and not a set time.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We spent a good deal of time at the adult pool and hot tub area. This was a great area to relax and enjoy a little sun. The casino was a lot of fun and even left with a little money.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The band on board was very good. Scott's piano bar was a ton of fun-very entertaining. The 80's show was good but maybe someone old enough to remember the 80s should have done the "One Hit Wonder" section. Styx was in no way a One Hit Wonder-really?!!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone was wonderful. As mentioned, our wait team of Gil, Maria, and Wilson were excellent-no complaints at all. Our steward, Ro, was also very, very good. He spoiled us and was very responsive to the few requests we had.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The layout of the ship was a bit confusing and signage was not the best. While I get the galley has to go somewhere, better signage regarding the decks that cannot be traversed would have been appreciated.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The bed was very, very comfortable-best "hotel" bed I think I've had in a long time. The main complaint is that it is pretty old and outdated and severely lacking in plug-ins. Although you advertise understanding of C-pap machines, there are no plugs by the bed for the machine. Ro, our steward, found us a long extension cord which we ran to the bed for the machine. Not the best but the best solution given the lack of plugs.
This was chaotic. Too many passengers were called down and there was a log jam from the elevators to off the ship. The bus kept us waiting too long. When you sell transports to the airport, you should know how many seats you will need on the buses.
