After almost two years, we got to cruise!! And we had a fantastic time! The Carnival Freedom is a good ship, not the biggest or the most modern, but still a good ship with lots of things to do. The service we received was excellent!! The food mostly good. Overall we would highly recommend the ship.

Super easy and fast. We were on the ship within 15 minutes of entering the terminal!!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food was hit and miss. The Guy Fieri burger joint, Blue Iguana cantina and the Lido buffet were all wonderful, with a good variety buffet. The evening sit down dining in the Posh Restaurant was disappointing as far as food quality goes. Most of the evenings, the food served was fine, but nothing exceptional. We found the lunch offerings were better in taste and quality. But overall, the food was good.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The serenity deck is a gem and a great place to escape to on sea days. The pools and hot tubs were fine. We really did not partake in much of those activities.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The rock band was great, playing a wide variety of songs to cater to everyone. The other music options were good. The performances in the Theatre were good and the performers energetic and talented. The only thing I wish they had done differently was to vary the times when they performed each evening. While they had multiple times, it seemed that if you went to the 8:15 late dining, you missed out on some of this entertainment. But overall very good.
Service and Staff

Fabulous service throughout!! From the dining room servers to the cabin steward, they were all eager to please and had a smile on their face (behind the face masks).
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ship is a little bit of an older model and it's hard to hide that. However it was very clean and comfortable!!
Cabin / Stateroom

The balcony cabin was perfect for us. It had plenty of space and storage. Very clean and totally met our needs. Cabin steward made sure all our needs were met.
Ship tip
Find the Serenity deck on sea days. It's a wonderful place to be.
