Review summary

There was obvious signs of wear, and cutbacks in food were very disappointing! Tgere was no one in a lot of the common areas and bars. Dining room service was very slow. Rust apparant all over the ship. This was our 6 th cruise, 3rd with carnival...we won't be sailing carnival again!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Quality of food was terrible! No more surf and turf, cheap selections and the same thing on the buffet everday aside from a few hot items. Buffet has main entrees but no sodes to go with them and food was lukewarm.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Minimal entertainment available, there were nights that there was no entertainment scheduled, cruise director was terrible...no personality!

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
There was almost nothing for kids

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Stateroom steward was the best, dining staff was hit or miss.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Choppy layout making it difficult to get from one end of the ship to the other

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Size was good, location was good, amenities basket cutback, really nothing but soap, breath right strips and couple small packets of toothpaste. Shampoo and body was dispenser in shower. Beds were terrible, very hard and springy and lop sided, baby crib, cold metal, not to new crib standards, there was a 2 inch foam pad with plywood base under foam pad.

Pros: The ports

Cons: Food

Recommends Carnival Freedom? No.
