Review summary

Overall the cruise was great. We enjoyed going out of Florida. After the cruise we took the tour of Miami and beaches excursion. It was nice to put our feet in the sand at the beach. We had lunch and headed back to the airport. Leaving from Florida allows us to see more islands since the ship doesn’t have to travel so far vs when we leave out of Baltimore.

Embarkation

Embarkation was smooth and didn’t take long.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was good, really enjoy the main dining room.

Guy's Burger Joint

5 out of 5

It’s nice that they offer this on their cruise lines now. It gives you a break from the buffet at no additional cost. The burgers are tasty and they have a toppings bar so you can customize it the way you want. The fries are on point.

Entertainment

Comedy shows are always great, I love that they offer so many on Carnival.

Carnival Seaside Theater

5 out of 5

It’s always nice having a theatre on the ship. They offer pretty recent movies during the evenings at sea. They provide popcorn at the bar to enjoy.

Children's Programs

No children at the time

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was great. They always make sure you are having a good time. Somehow in your short trip they are able to remember your names any time you see them on the ship.

Ship tip

We like traveling on the Freedom. It was a bigger ship than we had previously traveled. It had a higher occupancy but you didn’t reay notice the extra amount of people because there was plenty of room.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
We landed at Miami and too a cab to the port. Getting into the port was easy.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
St Thomas was pretty. The port offers a lot within walking disntace to the ship.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

5 out of 5
Tortola was pretty. We spent time on the beach.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Nassau was beautiful. We traveled to the resort area by cab. We walked around Atlantis and through the Casino. It was pretty commercialized in that area. In retrospect we probably should have gone to the beach down the road from the dock.
