Ship: Carnival Freedom

Cabin type: Inside

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

Boarding was late because of a norovirus outbreak the prior cruise. But once boarding started, it proceeded like clockwork. After muster, outside, the cruise got more and more pleasant. All excursions were great; best was that at G. Cayman, which we'd booked thru BJ's [not a paid announcement]. Debarking was like clockwork.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent in the Posh; we preferred the breakfast there. Even most of the meats in Freedom were decent, but some of the beef dishes were dry.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The tributes to N'Awleans and Swing were great, but I'm used to tributes to the Beatles.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Exemplary. Rasmudi, the best of the beat, kept Evelyn supplied with green tea despite being oaded with other duties.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
You have to use deck 5 to get from fore to aft of deck 3. Ship was well cleaned up, ATC. Colors are hot, but it works.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Interior was less space that royal, but more closet space.

Pros: the food in the Posh and the service

Cons: Some of the food in the Freedom Restaurant minor detail
