A fun and casual atmosphere.

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The price for this cruise is very reasonable .
Good variety of activities. Definitely a fun ship!
Don't expect to be pampered though.
If you have an eye for style/elegance/color co-ordination - close your eyes and look away on this ship!

Pros: The Beatles extravaganza show - Fantastic!! The quality of the food was excellent.

Cons: The very unatractive decor of the ship. Patterns and various colors everywhere. A fee is charged for each exercise class at the gym except for a 15 minute stretch class at 7 a.m.

Recommends Carnival Freedom? Yes!

Ship Quality
Dreadful decor - did not expect this terrible confusion of patterns and colors.
Food and Dining
Dining room food and service are excellent. Buffet is often crowded, the staff work hard but are unable to keep the area clean and attractive all the time.
Cabin / Stateroom
Very clean. Wonderfully comfortable beds.
Service and Staff
Friendly staff, a little more casual than on some other cruise lines.
Entertainment
Evening shows were very of a very high standard. Why no Zumba or Latin Dance instruction sessions for passengers?
George Town, Grand Cayman
Did a bus tour (not booked thru' Carnival). Excellent way to learn about Grand Cayman.
Don't Miss: Bus tour
Key West, Florida
Did a trolley bus tour and the butterfly farm. Enjoyed Key West, did not book any tours through Carnival.
Don't Miss: Trolley tour
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Only went to the beach to the left when walking off the ship ($3) Enjoyed walking along the water's edge. Was uncomfortable at being approached so often by people trying to sell items/services.
Don't Miss: Cannot say as we did not actually see Ocho Rios
