Review summary
Cruise ship was showing its age. Housekeeping was great. Kept room clean and made neat towel animals every night. Beds were not great. Two twins put together so there was a crack down the middle. One side was higher than the other so couldn't sleep up against spouse like usual. Buffet food was not the best but dining room was good. Had poor service one day but the rest was good. Only issue in dining room was they pack you in so close that there wasn't really private seating. Couldn't have a private conversation with spouse without next table hearing everything. Had to walk through smokey casino to get anywhere. Hair and clothes always smelled like smoke. Only had one tiny pool. Several hot tubs but they were always full. We had bad weather so we couldn't stop at the private island. Private island had a free beach and included a cookout. The stop they took us to instead was just a tourist trap and you had to pay extra to go anywhere. Even the beach. I know it's not the fault of the cruise line but you would have thought they'd offer a discount on excursions since you had to pay to do anything and it's not cheap.
Overall, not a great cruise. Probably would have been more enjoyable if the weather was better. Ship rocked a lot. Definitely don't go if you get sea sick at all. You felt every wave. Spend a lot of time on balcony in room with a blanket wrapped around me. Room was freezing and there was no way to turn off the AC. Numerous people complained about it.
