Review summary

As soon as I boarded the Fascination Ship from Jacksonville Port to Nassau Bahamas, I was introduced to the most Unprofessional, Non Accommodating staff I have ever experienced. I specifically asked Carnival if there was anything last minute I should know to bring on board, They responded with "Yes" You can bring up to twelve 20 fl oz bottles of water, also you can bring one bottle of wine per 21 and up adult in your party. When our bags were delivered to our room we noticed a letter from Carnival in our bags stating we had try to smuggle goods on board and they had been confiscated. The only thing we could find that was missing was our bottles of wine we were told to bring by Carnival. I then proceeded to Guest Services and spoke with a gentleman named JORGE that was the/ or one of the Managers to Guest Services. From the very start to our conversation he gave a terrible attitude and was extremely abrasive. He could have politely said "To bring your bottles of wine on board of a Carnival Cruise Ship you have to bring them in with your Carry On Luggage" Instead he was snarky and made me feel like a had done something wrong or had tried breaking the rules. I was not informed by Carnival in Any Way to bring those items in my Carry On, and now I am upset on vacation dealing with the worst customer service experience of my life. I told him I needed to speak with his superior and he laughed and said "I am the Superior here, You talk to me" I then said your attitude is not necessary and he threatened to call Security on me for speaking back to him in that manner. I had to walk away from Guest Services without a single question answered and a dark cloud over the entire cruise, simply because of a lack of Customer Service. I have since been on a different Carnival Cruise Ship named Imagination leaving the port of Long Beach, Ca. And can report that the customer service was 100% better and would recommend that cruise to Ensenada Mexico & Catalina Island to Everyone. As far as the Fascination is concerned, I would wait until the staff is updated. Hopefully this can help some of you out with your future vacation travels.

Cabin / Stateroom

Everything was perfect except when I first entered the room I saw around 8 Dark hairs on the white comforter, I assumed the sheets had not yet been changed & cleaned. The Steward said "Those are clean sheets" I responded with "My hair is Red and my mothers is Blonde" He Said "I can reassure you that the linen is clean" The linen was not changed and left with over a half dozen Long Dark hairs on my Bed and Pillow.

Ship tip

Avoid JORGE with Guest Services at all costs. Extremely Rude and UnHelpful.
