Of the 5 previous cruises I've been on with Carnival, this was the worst. That's even including our honeymoon when our cabin didn't have air conditioning. The whole thing just seemed unorganized and the ship couldn't have been more run down. Food is usually good, but can't even say that. Carnival's $25 onboard credit offer was just the topping on the cake to our horrible trip. Customer service has really gone downhill. What a shame. We will try Royal Caribbean next.
Embarkation

Annoying. We had priority boarding, but the lady at guest services took FOREVER to set up our cash accounts and although I gave her money and told her to split it between my husband and I, she couldn't for the life of her, understand what that meant and told me to go to "Guest Services." I backed up and pointed to the clearly stated sign above, that we were already at guest services, and she informed me that we'd have to go to the one on the ship who knew how to split money in half. This continued throughout the cruise because nobody understood us. We ended up going back 4 different times! This is not even mentioning that we all had to board and leave 2 hours late because of the fog.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
The food at dinner was very misleading in their titles.
- their "baked ziti" was in a cream sauce and not baked(American version of a Carbonara)
-the tortilla soup was literally a tomato broth with chips
-for lunch, we waited 20+ minutes for the deli only for them to forget to include falafel on my FALAFEL WRAP.
-went 2 other times and they never had fries made even though it was the ONLY side that came with the sandwiches. Then I was told they dont customize sandwiches while they were literally customizing a sandwich for the woman in front of us.
The staff in general seemed just really ticked off to get me something else or just huffed & puffed when they walked away, especially when I sent back something that was clearly not what I ordered. Told dinner staff that I couldn't have milk or cream and to please take my "baked ziti," and they told me it was delicious and that I should at least try it. Um what??
Onboard Activities

There is one small pool on this ship. No big screen on Lido & no more than one thing during the day that was interesting and that was the nightly show, which we were upset about because more of them were the same from our 2017 honeymoon cruise.
Entertainment

Shows would have been great had we not seen most of them 2 years prior on our honeymoon.
Children's Programs
Didn't bring children.
Service and Staff

Was blown off pretty often when I told them of my restrictions of dairy. Little did we know that it was this ship's last sailing before the crew got off and you can tell that's all they cared about. Jorge, our dinner server was great!
Ship Quality

This ship is 30 years old without touchups and it shows, BIG TIME. Thank goodness it is now being renovated. No wonder our tickets were so cheap!
Cabin / Stateroom

Room steward was great. She personalized each meeting addressing me by name and was overall fun and accommodating. The size was fine. Our king kept separating though, which was annoying. We also never received room service menus nor did we get hand soap in our bathroom. During a lot of our down time when there was nothing to do, we couldn't even watch tv in our room due to all the static and terrible picture.
Ship tip
More of a relaxation ship rather than a "fun ship." I would say the older crowd would enjoy it more. Don't pick this ship if you are under 40.
The restaurant we went to in Mobile was supposed to be a 4 star place, but we spent almost $150 and my dinner was mediocre at best. The only good thing was the cheesecake. At our hotel, some kids broke into our room and filled it with pot smoke before we checked in and they upgraded us to a suite. It was nice, but shouldn't have happened in the first place. Checking in because of this issue made us miss our dinner reservations because it took 45 minutes sorting through the incident.
Mexico was fine. Nobody told us about the time change though, so we lost an entire hour because we got back on the ship at 3:30, thinking it was already 4:30. Really upsetting our time was cut short.
We had to get off the ship 3 hours earlier than usual. We lost a total of 5 hours of our cruise and carnival offered us $25 onboard credit, when I called after disembarkation, for our next cruise(which most bookings come with anyway lol). What a joke.
