Review summary

Not sure why, but we could feel the boat sway back and forth the entire trip, then the last day was extremely windy and the boat moved so much we all got sea sick.  We spent a short amount of time in Key West but the entire day in Cozumel.  Both places are amazing and we had so much fun on our excursions.  The boat was kind of boring, no music in places that needed it and music in places that were dark and closed at night.  Then you think you're all paid up and several charges hit on the last night so make sure you check your balance throughout the trip!  We did have money taken from our room and someone actually exchanged a broken phone charger cord with a broken one!  Amazing... couldn't prove it so they wouldn't do anything.  Just be careful!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Food was average, nothing spectacular. The food after hours was better than breakfast or dinner.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Could've had music playing in more parts of the ship. The pool was sadly small but the slides were fun. The late night conga lines were fun but I would say all in all, the activities were average.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
I think they made the best of things... again, nothing exciting or spectacular.

Children's Programs

no children, so no comment

Service and Staff

Crew members were amazing but again, we did have unexpected charges from the cleaning guy and we did have money and phone charger missing.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Maybe I'm used to the bigger ships because this one seemed really small and again, there was one pool and it was extremely small so it was filled with kids most of the day.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Didn't expect the $156 charge for cleaning our room five times a day! We didn't want them to clean even once a day but every time we left and came back the beds were made and the towels were changed. It was kind of weird, it made us think they were watching us the entire time. We also had someone exchange a broken charger with one of ours which is extremely disappointing...

Ship tip

Go to the second set of Bingo games for they increase it by thousands of dollars and the first one was all below $150 bucks. booooo! Take advantage of the group gatherings at night, they're a blast! Keep track of your costs through out the trip!

For future cruising info... You always have the option to give tips directly to the staff if you feel the need to do so, and you can also adjust gratuities based on your ‘experience’ onboard. Get in touch with guest services right away so they can make adjustments. Do note that if Carnival does not receive a request for modification, the recommended rate is what will be charged to you.

Must of booked through a TA or you didn't read the booking info to understand the reasons for the gratuities. Also, next time you cruise, try getting the patches before you cruise.

We were on the Fantasy from Sep 9th to 15th as Irma was in the gulf. We had huge swells our second night and the boat swayed a lot! While not my favorite ship, we love cruising so made the best of it. Loved the CD, C-Love!

ha, we went the first week of October, 5 days turned into 8 days because of Nate. Rock and away we did, but was on this ship in January and we were fine.

Been on fantasy twice never had issues with feeling movement could be rougher seas during hurricane season you will get that on any ship

They charged you a extra $156 on top of gratuities? Or was that your gratuities? Our cabin gratuities are $254 and we opted to pay before we stay. But I know that they have to be paid prior to disembark.

It's a boat, it's supposed to rock and sway, it's not attached to anything stationary, should have kept your money in the safe, broken charger for a broken charger =
