Review summary

Overall it was the best first cruise ever! Staff were so amazing! I was a little disappointed that I won an excursion to Princess Cays Glassbottom Boat & when the excursion was cancelled, Carnival gave me 2 cents for that prize. Maybe a discount for a cup of coffee would have been nice & not to sound greedy but maybe they could have just left the 2 cents off of my bill & given me a voucher for another cruise with them. That would have encouraged me to sail with them again. Also, I had a walker & really struggled with accessibility for shows & getting on & off elevators. Music events left people with disabilities standing on sidelines where we couldn’t really see what was going on. Passengers were unkind & often left people with disabilities waiting through several elevators because they would run in & there was no room. One lady waited quietly through 3 elevators until we had to block the elevator so she could get on. Same with seating at shows.

Food and Dining

I was on a diet & hoped for more healthy options during the breakfast & lunch buffet meals but dinners were great!

Onboard Activities

Lots of activities to choose from. I was up at 6am every morning & didn’t go to bed until late & still couldn’t fit them all in. They were great!

Service and Staff

So much to say about staff! Of course Zach the Cruise Director was phenomenal & made everything so much fun but behind the scenes so many more made it great! Santiago our amazing food server, Hazel, the Dining Team Lead with such a wonderful, kind & accommodating personality, Suardann who was funny & nice who offered us the yummy adult beverages with dinner and at the pool, Bella, our amazing food server who always greeted us with a smile & asked how our day was every day & Ramesh, the Food Director who we saw so frequently all around the ship & talked to everyone & was so helpful to guests which was so nice to see! And lastly Putu my Stateroom Attendant & his housecleaning staff who did such an amazing job everyday cleaning our rooms, the hallways & rest of the ship, thank you for the important work you do, it is so appreciated! There also was a Phillipino girl that sold pictures to my friends & I but I didn’t get her name & she was so nice & even wished me a happy early birthday. She made my day! I wish I knew her name. Brandy, the bingo girl was great. Prakash from the spa is a special guy & did such an amazing job blowing out my hair as well as my two friends hair and selling me a product. Brandon sold me arch supports for my flip flops which helped me so much since I had a walker & already had back problems. It was the best first cruise I could have asked for. Picture lady? Prakash (Spa/Blow out Hair) Brandon (Arch supports)

Couldn’t be better!

Ship tip

Excursions may be cancelled if Carnival can’t ferry passengers safely. It’s not their fault. They are keeping us safe. Princess Cays can be cancelled after storms due to unsafe ferrying of passengers but there’s lots of activities on the ship if this happens.
