We had a great time. Nice ship, food was great, people were friendly. A cruise is always better than being at work or having to cook and clean every day at home.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
Went kind of slow for people in scooters. We had to wait in a long line for over an hour until a large group of people in scooters were ready to board. Don't know why they never gave us any info.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was very good. Waiters in main dining room were great. Always friendly and called us by name
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We didn't do any activities, but looked like others were having fun. Pool and hot tubs was full of kids. Didn't think there would be so many since spring break I thought was over in most places.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone was great, waiters, Cabin Stewart and crew members cleaning. Always smiling even though they work 12 hours days. Don't know how they do it, but I have never met a crew member on any carnival cruise that wasn't helpful and friendly.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Layout was pretty easy to learn. Had never been on the elation before and we did a back 2 back this time. Someone was always cleaning and sweeping.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our ocean view cabin was large enough and always kept clean.
Ship tip
Easy to get around. I know this is an old ship so I hope they get her fixed. On our back 2 back we left Jacksonville 5 hours late after the first cruise and arrived 2 hours late getting back to Jacksonville on the second cruise. Small ship and you get to see the same people all the time and doesn't feel over crowded.
Beautiful island but did not get off the ship this time. Have been there many times so wanted to enjoy peace and quiet on the ship without so many kids running around.
Nassau has gotten alot better since the remodel. Don't feel so pressured like before as soon as you got off the ship you used to be bombarded with people trying to take you somewhere or sell you something. It's not as bad now and looks pretty with all the colored buildings.
