Review summary

The cruise was relaxing. We had great weather. I have a huge issue with NOT RECEIVING our $200 onboard credit for upgrading to a suite! I would like some communication as to how this can be rectified! The food was mediocre but adequate. We still had fun just being away.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We were promptly boarded. We paid for vip boarding.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food on board was just mediocre but adequate. A bit boring compared to other cruises we’ve been on.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
There really wasn’t a lot to do on this cruise. We did enjoy the pool and some of the activities out there.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The comedians were great! We enjoyed the “Lounge Singers” a lot but the actual auditorium shows were just ok and not comparable to other cruises.

Children's Programs

No kids with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our service was very good! Our room steward was awesome! Our favorite server was Johnathan up on the pool deck! His positivity and enthusiasm was infectious!! He is a true asset to the cruise line!! The waiters in main dining were great but we just weren’t impressed with the food offerings in main dining as compared to other cruises.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was beautiful for a small ship. Very clean and easy to navigate!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We loved our suit! The room and space was beautiful! However we upgraded with Dave and Cruise.com and were supposed to get a $200 on board credit that we Never Received! I had emailed Dave several Times and he is not responding or rectifying the situation so this is bothersome!

Ship tip

The communication as to what was going on was vague to say the least. I am in the service industry for 29yrs and it just didn’t seem super organized like other cruises I’ve sailed on.

Disembarkation

This was very disorganized!! On a sheet in our room it said we needed to be at Markado auditorium and the App told us to be on deck 7 in the atrium lounge! We paid for early departure. When it all started to move it wasn’t that bad but we should have been directed to the right place!

Glad you overall enjoyed your cruise. Sorry to hear about the $200 being a bone of contention. Hopefully it will be resolved soon for you. Thanks for your review.

Did you make any onboard purchases? I got $100 onboard credit and paid gratuities from CheapCruises (sister company to Cruises.com) but it only showed up on my account as credits to cover purchases I made. So if I hadn’t bought anything, the $100 would never have shown up.

Are you sure it was OBC or was it just a gift card? Cruise.com sent me a $200 gift card about 3 months after we returned because I booked a suite, but it wasn't OBC.

Your on board credit issue is with Dave, not Carnival. Thank you for your review.
