This is one area of concern I had. I have taken this particular cruise 5 times now. Not for the destinations but for the relaxation of the cruise. I know it is a terrible task to fix meals for so many people but the variety was not offered as other trips. ( the food experience is one of the joys of cruising) I am referring to the buffet choices. The main ding meals were wonderful. I found it amusing that there is notice on the menu that after your third request for an entree you will be charged. You are also charged for room service now. We that are handicapped have always enjoyed not having to walk the length of the ship to receive a meal. I wish I could! It would be a very welcome service for those in wheelchairs and walkers. With a scooter it would be no problem. Please review your policy on this matter to accommodate the (legitimate) handicapped guests. Maybe a check-in at Guest Services after Embarkation. Gratituties should be expected by staff for this service, even though tips are added to our statement. Never get rid of your bakery staff! Best ever!

For my disappointment in food variety and buffet menu I have to say this was the best staff service I have ever experienced! This includes other companies I have traveled with. I was in cabin M4 and I wish I could express to Hendri how much I appreciated him!! All staff acknowledged me with a smile and asking me if I needed assistance. Carnival Staff will always get an A+ from me.

Beautifully kept clean and well stocked. I was in awe of the STUNNING decorations throughout the ship since it was Halloween in a few days. I am sure it was a delight for the children for the ship looked magical. Kudos to the decorators!
Cabin / Stateroom

My preference would always be a balcony room but since I had been on this cruise so many times it was no problem to get a room with 2 portholes. Plenty of room for my sister and I.
Ship tip
Embark as early as permitted. The staff has it down to a science and you will be stress free during the process. Have documents in hand! Not in your purse. You hold up those behind you by having to fumble through your purse or bag to retrieve them! Very irritating.
Thanks for your detailed review. I agree room service should be free. Carnival owns Princess and Holland America. They are all charging for different room service items. Takes the fun out of cruising. Seems everything is costing more with higher labor costs, food costs, and costs of doing business. It is tough to walk all over the ship to eat too if you have mobility or other health issues that limit you. A scooter might help in the future.
I was on that same cruise. In room G-42 on the 14th floor. Loved the location but the last 2 nights was pretty rough being up that high . Very rough seas. I would book that room again. I agree about the cleanliness onboard and the best staff around. This was my 11th time on the elation. The first 10 were out of New Orleans. Love the smaller ships. Been on 36 carnival cruises and love them all.
