Review summary

Overall, the experience was very positive. However, I would have liked the live performances to not being at the early dining time of 6 p.m. where we could have watched them.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
If the boarding ramp weren't so long I would have given this rating a 5 star.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent. I gained 2 pounds. My wife won't tell me how much she gained.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Karaoke, pool area, shops.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Steward Wayan, and server Nitaya were excellent.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was very clean. I was easy to get turned around. Port and starboard labels on the bulkheads would help.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Being a balcony stateroom on the stern of the ship was a little loud. Ship engine noises could be heard when lying on my side through the pillow. The only seat inside the stateroom was a cushioned stool that could fit under the desk. Other than that, the room was very nice.

Ship tip

It was a fun ship. My wife and I were glad to have chosen a time when most children were in school as the other passengers were polite and noise conscious while in the staterooms.

Ports of call

Jacksonville, Florida

5 out of 5
Embarkation port.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Very nice, but hot. Shopping was easy and duty free.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Hot! There as a long walk to the BBQ area. Not that I'm complaining. I had to get rid of some of the extra calories I consumed while on board! :)

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The passengers left the ship in a very orderly way. There was no crowding at the time of our disembarkation.

We sail on Elation Oct 2. Did you go to the piano bar? How was the pianist?

Glad you had fun. The main theater shows are typically repeated twice every night. The people eating early will go to the late show and the late dinners go to the early show… I have never heard noisy kids in a next door cabin but have heard adults yelling and arguing numerous times. Glad you didn’t have that experience.
