Princess Cay was the following... 1. Overran with flies 2. Lazy buttheads that work there 3. Your drink package DOES NOT apply to the Cay. 4. Bring LOTS of money for drinks. 5. The actual sand, looked like Myrtle Beach, 20 years ago....gross with trash.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

The Cay was completely overriding with flies. The sand was trashy and the people there are rude. For a Corona in a can and ONE small cocktail it was $25. We bought a drink package that combined was $700 and that does NOT apply to the Cay that Carnival presumably owns Not a fan....

Hopefully you ate in the main dining room!! Lido is for more casual dining.

drscooby, I've been to princess cays, half moon, and many other beaches, never had an issue with sand fleas

LOL. Cruise food may not be 5 Star but I’ve never had Prime Rib or Crème Brûlée at a gas station.

I'm there in 2 weeks.. I have heard so many complaints about sand fleas..guess I'll stay on the ship as originally planned unless someone can give me a good reason not to lol

can't really blame carnival for sand. no, the drink package didn't work on princess cays or half moon, this is mentioned on the website. yes, the islands are carnival Corp owned, however, Holland actually owns half moon and princess has princess cays, I'm thinking that's why the package doesn't work.

I'm sorry that you did and did not like the cruise. No Carnival does not allow the drink package at all on any of their private islands and that is the princess cay Half Moon was pretty sad because you're paying for this.
