Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food selection was great. The staff were excellent. As soon as you are done with a plate, they would help you clear the table.

Onboard Activities

My husband and son enjoyed them.

Entertainment

I like the towel folding experience.

Children's Programs

My 5 year old son refused to go to "daycare" because he thinks that he's an adult. Besides that, he loved the mini-golf and the arcade.

Service and Staff

My room steward was Gerry. He was great. He cleaned the room during the time that we requested (5:30pm) and he added a towel animal with each visit. My son, David, loved seeing the number of animals grow on the bed as he gets back from dinner. My dinning Service Team included Suphakdee (Superman), Sita Elizabeth (Spiderman - even though she's female), and Sharmen. We had all 5 of our dinners with them as our servers. They were beyond competent. They were polite. They were fast. They worked like worker-bees every time I saw them, whether if it was in the Imagination dining hall or the Tiffany's breakfast/lunch buffet area. They were great dancers too, especially Sharmen, she was extremely energetic when she danced. Sita Elizabeth engaged my son in dancing with them during dinner. He loved it. And I got to admit, David really really liked Suphakdee. Even after we got home, he kept on saying that he misses Superman. For someone to make a 5-year-old kid missing him after a few days is quite an accomplishment. I first saw Tanya when I first got on the ship. While I was eating lunch, she asked if how was everything. She taught me to use the mobile app to check-in for meals. Tanya also worked at the Imagination dining hall. She greeted us politely each time we were there. And, she treated David sincerely. Also, Neil the cruise director is fun. He did a great job with his announcements. And he had a nice sense of humor. My son took pictures with all of them as he liked them so much. My family is very happy with our Thanksgiving vacation on this Bahamas Cruise trip. The main reason that we enjoyed it so much was the competency and friendliness of the workers. The people who I mentioned deserve a pay increase, or promotion. And, this is my second time on the Carnival Elation.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was well kept, nice and clean, despite it being a relatively older ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

Gerry was fast at setting up the third bed for our son. The room relatively small but he arranged the beds efficiently. That gave us a feeling that the room was bigger.

Ship tip

The food selections were great. We ended up gaining a lot of weight. So, eat in moderation.

Disembarkation

Neil, the cruise director, did a great job teaching us how to disembark. We exited in an orderly manner and were pleased with our experience.

Neil, the cruise director, is very friendly. He made our disembark easy. Team Waitress Shita Elizabeth is so nice to my 5 year old son. He loved dancing with her. David loved the towels animals Gerry made. Suphakdee (Superman) was a great headwaiter. My son, David, missed him after we left the cruise.
