All in all this is a very small ship but it has a lot to offer. It is great for 4 or 5 cruises. If you are looking to get away on a short trip and have a blast give the Elation a try.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
It was pretty good but the "Verifly" line seemed much longer than the regular check in line.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We enjoyed dining in the MDR. Unfortunately our first night was not great, we were behind a wall and there was a very strange strong odor. We requested a "sharing" table in the main area and from there on our dinners were great and the weird smell stayed on the other side of the dining room.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
This tiny ship packs a lot in its small package. The water slides were a blast. This little ship has 3 water slides. From a glance it looks like 2 of them are for children but not so. The two smaller slides were almost more fun than the big slide. We played trivia, joined the fun on the stage, went to the piano bar, won at BINGO! Again this is a small ship and easy to run into the same friends over and over but for a 4 or 5 night cruise it is a blast.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The stage shows are basic Carnival shows but lots of energy and very well performed. The best thing about this ship is the music. Around every corner there was a different type of music to enjoy listening to or dancing to.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
As usual the service was good. Some better than others but we were satisfied with all our interactions with the staff.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship is small but they pack so much in. It was very clean and very elegant looking. Lots of great areas to sit and visit or people watch.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The cabin was fine. We had a cabin for 3 so we did not have a sofa. That was definitely missed. It was hard getting ready to go out for the day with only the bed and one chair to sit on.
Ship tip
This is a great ship for a first time cruise or a fun family weekend where you want to see everyone during the cruise. My main advice is jump in and try everything. We had a blast and even won several "whale" tales and some cash, just by participating.
We loved the beach and it looked like a great place to visit but our Jeep Adventure only took us to a few areas. If I go back I will rent a private jeep and do a little exploring on my own.
Very long lines. I had an early flight and I don't think I would have made it had a Carnival employee not helped move us along and let us know about the porter service.
Carnival said they really no longer use verify as it was set up mainly due to Covid, and Covid rules are no more. Passport and cruise ticket is all that is needed at embarkation now.
