Review summary

The cruise over all was good. If I had to rank it among my other cruises (all Carnival) it would probably be on or near the bottom. I have mentioned it before...the crew just gave off a vibe as being tired. I think this had a big impact on how I reacted to the cruise. I felt very little excitement on the ship..not just from the crew but passengers too. I am a huge cruise fan but this one just felt off. I still had fun though. Already looking forward to my next adventure.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Like all Carnival ships the food is good and plentiful. I feel that service was a bit slower then normal due to guest vs crew ratio. I always love the Alchemy Bar.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
This is a older ship so it will not have all the bells and whistles as the newer ships. But besides that I feel that the staff were over worked and tired on this cruise. This aura radiated throughout the ship and made it feel lack luster. The crew were great...just over worked. You could feel it when sharing moments with them.

Mini Golf

5 out of 5

The mini golf course on this ship is fun to play. Especially under the moon light. I wish it was 24 hours though.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The entertainment available was good and appropriate for this cruise. I really enjoyed the live music.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
As stated early..the crew itself was great. I just feel that they were overworked when trying to handle large crowds. Maybe Carnival should hold off on fully booking ships until crew is 100%? Other then this the staff were great and worked very hard to ensure another great vacation.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I wish there was a bar in the serenity area. Having to rely on waiters for drinks is not always a option when the ship is over crowded. Bit the rest of the ship seems to be in good shape for its age.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
My cabin was great. It is a inside cabin and that is what I prefer. I like the dark that comes with these cabins. It let's me sleep in when I want too. Also the cabin is very quiet.

Ship tip

Try not to expect the Ritz and glamor that Many of the newer ships have and you will be happy. This is a good ship for first time cruisers as the ship is easy to navigate. Keep a positive attitude and you will have a great time on any cruise!
