Review summary

Started off with bad start when we were told to carry our own bags as checked bags time has passed and they didn't let us carry our water bottles with us. But rest of the process was good expect few glitches here and there. With unexpected extension of our trip by 2 nights due to bad weather in FL, lost additional day pay but was happy with the carnival crew as they were patient with us and provided value package of internet so we could communicate back home so they would not panic. and kids would have breathing time to communicate with their friends home and catch up. Cruise team arranged additional activities and entertainment for the extended 2 days/nights. Overall this cruise trip was great, We have travelled with Carnival cruise for about 6 times so far and recommend carnival to others!

Embarkation

3 out of 5
we were late by few mins past 1:30PM so we didn't have an option to check our bags in and had to carry our bags ourself up the ramp, but otherwise embarkation process went smoothly. Water on ship including water bottles were not smooth like our north Georgia water and they didn't let us carry our own water bottles.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was great. Have lot of options and not huge lines at buffets and pizza stations.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Fitness centers, ping pong table, mini golf, steam room. Loved these. Water slides surroundings were slippery one kid from our group slipped and got hurt while walking around the slides.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
shows, performers and DJs were great, my teen and other teens in our group were little disappointed as most of these were for 18+ and they didn't have much to do around the ship. Shout out the entertainment director and crew who have arranged the additional activities and shows for the extended 2 days.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
Camps were okay, they could have some more better activities to keep them engaged. Specially teens club o2 didn't have much entertaining activities for them.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiters were great, our dining room waiter Roby and Cristina were awesome, they remembered our names and would remember our preferences and were friendly with kids. Our room Steward Suphol was also very patient with our requests. Also all the other crew working to keep the common areas clean were attentive and have been great at what they do. Would like to thank Medical team also on behalf of other family traveling in our group.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It was an old ship but was still maintained cleanly.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Comfortable and cleanly, but the mini cooler in the room wasn't working to put our water and after sun gel and lotions.

Ship tip

Make sure to check what time the check-in bags closes for Embarkation before you start your trip and plan accordingly. Note the chat plan works well when traveling with teens to communicate with them while onboard.
