Review summary

I know this is an old boat, but that should be apart of the marketing for the trip. I was looking forward to swimming and more boat activities. When I looked on carnivals website I just couldn't find the info I needed. I found a lot if support on Facebook cruise pages. I am disappointed. We enjoyed our trip because it was a beautiful location and weather, but we had a lot of negative experiences on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Dining room portion size was very small, lack flavor. Buffet was limited. Lines too long and understaffed.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Bingo and deal or no deal was fun. The buy in was expensive and the prizes were small. I would like to have played more games for the money. I never swam in the pool. It was so crowded with people and they were all drinking. I didn't let my kids in either. They did have fun on the slides.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Dj was great! Loved the live performances in the lobby and the piano guy Keith was the best. The 80 rock show was choreographed well but lacked in singing. They couldn't sing the ballads.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
We used the kids clubs. Ages 5/6 loved their experience and the staff was great. The older club 12 yr old was chaotic and my daughter was very uncomfortable. She went for one night and didn't return.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Excellent!

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
The ship design was fine, one of the main glass elevators was not working. It was clean and workers were always tending to it.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
My air conditioner never worked. We received a fan within an hour of departure. Service came to check and maintainince tried to fix it. We were offered a secondary room e163. We divided up our party into 2 rooms.

Ship tip

Food stinks and lones are long

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

1 out of 5
No excursion, pushy sellers at straw market

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
Food was cut off too early without warning. Water was beautiful.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Rain caused major delays.

I see upon looking at deck plans that my cabin is E168 which appears to be under the galley. Did you experience any loud noises from above your room

Thanks for the review maybe next time do little more research you did choose carnivals smallest and oldest ship

You can order an unlimited amount of entrees so portion size is irrelevant. Pools on cruise ships are a significant engineering challenge and cruising is not a good choice for people we want a pool focused vacation.
