I have avoided the smaller older ships previously. I am very glad we got such a good deal and were able to experience the Elation. I definitely want to cruise on it and other smaller ships again.

Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food on the Elation was delicious! My favorite, the Reuben, in the deli was freshly made and yummy.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We really just wanted to relax on this cruise. Besides the shows and entertainment we did not participate in activities.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The stage shows, musicians and performers were very good. I really enjoyed the Easter Service put on by Neal, the Cruise Director and the performers.Their singing of "You Raise Me Up" gave me the chills! The Violinists performances were our favorite. The comedians were our least favorite.
Children's Programs
Did not have children with.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room steward, Fadil, was awesome as was our waiter, John. All the ships personnel was good.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I really liked having the main theater, smaller stages, piano bar, atrium, library, guest services, lido buffet and other eateries all on decks 7,8,9 and 10. My favorite was having the serenity area on deck 9.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin location was very convenient to the areas we used the most and quiet. Our bed was comfortable! Fadil kept our cabin very clean. We had enough space especially with no couch in our room which meant you either had to sit on the bed or the desk stool.
Ship tip
Being smaller and with all your main activities on 4 decks it was easy to get around. With the strong winds and rougher seas we were walking around like we were drunk.
We LOVE going to the huge pool area at Amber Cove and just relaxing by the pool, swimming, floating, enjoying the entertainment and the swim up bar. No excursions.
Glad you enjoyed. Our first two cruises were Disney and then the Oasis. They were great but I love the smaller ships - easier to to find your way around, more opportunity to meet people, and you no pressure to “do it all”. Much more relaxing in my opinion.
