Ship tip
Come early on embarkation day, if you can spare some money buy faster to the fun. Your room is ready right away and the checked luggage comes slightly after that but still early. We really enjoyed the little luxuries of “faster to the fun” the Elation does rock a little. Our first night was the worst. During our early dining (6:00) the boat was rocking quite a bit and then it started rattling really bad. We believe the rattling is something they do to offset the rocking but we are no experts. My tip for this is to buy different types of sea sickness remedies our personal favorite is “sea bands” they do itch a little and at first may make your wrist a little sore but it’s better then sitting by the toilet ready puke. After that night it just rocked lightly throughout the day the evening seemed to be worse. If you’re really not into rocking I would go with a larger ship because the Elation is one of the smaller ones. We recommend that you go to a few activities you’d never really think of going to. We went to two art auctions and bought a few things. We also tried the jackpot bingo too! Overall we really enjoyed the Carnival Elation!
