Review summary

This ship although cozy and nice should undergo some refurbishments. There were obvious signs of wear.

Embarkation

It was a smooth and easy process

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main Dining: The wait staff was wonderful but the food was not seasoned very well; I think it is horrible that there is an additional charge for lobster. This is my first cruise with Carnival but on other cruise lines I was not charged. Tiffany's, Lido deck buffet, Guy's Burgers was excellent

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
My grandchildren really enjoyed the water slides and pools

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Comedians were entertaining and very funny DJ Willie was awesome! Jen was really great!

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
They did not like it but did not state why so they chose not to participate

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Nia our room person was awesome. She knew our names and always ensured that our room was clean and orderly. She was very helpful

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
One of the elevators was broken the entire voyage.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
My safe broke and that caused me to be late meeting my family for the captains dinner. The maintenance person did not bring the correct tools at first and had to retrieve a drill in order to open that safe so that I could get my jewelry out. Nia was awesome and our room was clean always

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Enjoyed my time there

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

It was nice. I should have chosen a different excursion.

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Loved this island. Had a great time!

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
The customs area was very clustered and disorganized. The lines should have been clearly delineated to avoid confusion and frustration.

I hope you did enjoy, I would have gone to dinner without my jewelry so I could attend.

It is going in dry dock soon. That should help spruce it up.
