Review summary

I booked two rooms, one was dirty with directory missing from the in room phone. Getting on the ship was fast and easy. After the first night they told us there’s a problem with the ship and we’re not gonna be able to make it to our destination. We ended up going to Bahamas instead. We spent a whole day in terrible Bahamas. We ended up having 3 days at sea instead of two. They ran out of sea sick patches after the first day. The only compensation we got was $100 added to our sign and sail card and 50% off of a NEXT cruise. They know the $100 has to be spent on the boat so in reality we didn’t get any real compensation for something that wasn’t our fault. BE AWARE AND DO NOT BOOK WITH THE CARNIVAL ELATION SHIP.

Sorry for your experience

The propulsion seems to be plaguing the cruise industry. Sorry your ship was one of them. Even one of RCCL’s newer ships is having issues. I could spend that $100 easily. As for 50% off another cruise.... where are you going?

Cruising on her October 19th. Our 25th cruise with Carnival. I understand your disappointment but would you have rather been stuck at sea and having to be rescued by coast guard? Carnival tried to accommodate and I’m sure it wasn’t on purpose the ship had problems.

This is an older ship and primarily aimed at first-time and budget conscious cruisers. A newer ship will usually be a better experience.

Some times we are disappointed, because of unforseen problems but we are given other chances to enjoy ourselves,so look forward to the joy that those chances afford!
