Review summary

I loved it and would take the Elation anytime. This ship started my cruise addiction!

Embarkation

3 out of 5
I'm trying not to be negative, but it took forever to get on the ship. I have bought faster to the fun ever since.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was great. We ate buffet every night for supper. It was our first cruise and didn't know we could eat in the main dining room. Guys burger was fantastic though!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We didn't participate in any activities, but I did watch the hairy chest competition. That was fun!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows were okay. We loved the bars though. The music was great. And Kevin was an amazing cruise director!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The ship was very clean and the staff was great!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The Elation is my favorite ship so far. She's beautiful!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I wish I had pictures, but I didn't think to take any. I loved the fact that it had two USB ports in the lamps above the bed. The room layout was great and the water pressure in the shower was amazing!

Ship tip

Have fun and don't worry about trying to do everything. Relax!

Ports of call

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

5 out of 5
We had a good time in Freeport. We didn't do an excursion. We just took a van to the shopping district. They even had a Christmas tree up for us.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
A beautiful paradise!

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Again, I don't want to be a negative Nancy, but the disembarkation was worse than the embarkation. We waited for three hours with an hour and a half standing in line. My husband asked one of the port employees how to get a trolley (we saw others with them), she rolled her eyes and walked away. We also saw people getting arrested for drugs. This did not ruin our trip because now we know about faster to the fun!

It really all depends on customs on how long it takes to board the ship ,,,where Diamond and if there is a issue in customs it can hold everything up no matter if you have priority or not it's not always the ships fault it's customs . But it's great you enjoyed your experience hope you are hooked like us happy cruising....
