Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The food is down right terrible. From eating dinner and breakfast in the Imagination restaurant, which was disgusting and left my whole table hungry and scrambling for food. Too eating dinner last evening at the Lido buffet. I have never experienced such nasty food and poor choices. And then to be served food on dirty plates put the nail in the coffin.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Serenity deck was peaceful however it could have been up on a higher deck or the opposite end of the ship as not to have all noise above it.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Singers were off key and the dances moves looks like aerobic exercises.

Children's Programs

My child didn’t participate.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
My room steward Randy was AMAZING. Food service personnel and guest services were rude and unconcerned.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It was fine, except make sure sure on a sold out boat that all elevators are in proper working order.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was fine except for having the overhead bed that was in the way of my daughter who is 5’9 being able to sleep or sit comfortably on the bed.

Ports of call

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

3 out of 5
Carnival bus tour excursion was not worth the money.

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Loved everything about our open air tram tour, especially the free WiFi.

Disembarkation

JT1962 I completely agree! I think they need to stay on land.

Food is always subjective, but others recently rated the food as 4-5 stars with one saying it was “yummy”. I find it hard to believe that no one in your group could find any choices, especially at breakfast. I just saw a recent dining room breakfast menu and it included pastries, cereal, eggs, omelets, waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, French toast, sausage, bacon, hash browns, yogurt and more. The dinner menus provide a variety of food choices as well, with a fish, pasta, vegetarian, beef, chicken and other entree each night and a salmon, steak, chicken breast and a pork chop every night as an option. We have never had an issue finding interesting choices on any cruise and have never had any food that was considered inedible or disgusting. I can’t speak to the quality of the food you received, but if the menus I see are what you had, then your group must be very hard to please and cruising may not be for you.
