Review summary

The Carnival Elation gave is a magical experience for our first cruise, and I look forward to sailing with Carnival again.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation went smoothly. I got through security and forgot my fins, but they let me go back and get them, as well as skip through priority.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The staff aboard the Elation were great! All of them had as much personality as the entertainment crew.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Most of the activities are on the Lido deck. This isn’t a huge shop, so don’t expect any rock climbing walls or zip lines.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The entertainment crew was my favorite! The shows were stellar, as well as the deck parties.

Children's Programs

We didn’t bring any young offspring.

Service and Staff

Cabin / Stateroom

Most comfortable beds ever!

Ship tip

If you bring a dive knife, you can get it back from security after customs.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Grand Turk Island

Divers paradise!

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

4 out of 5
Kind of touristy

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
The only stressful part about debarkation was that I was told 3 different locations on where to get my dive knife back.
