Great Embarkation! We did the park & cruise package through Travelodge Inn & Suites Jacksonville Airport, Smooth shuttle to Port Jax customs was quick and check in was even quicker. Everyone so friendly & professional.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main Dining room food was wonderful the service & entertainment was spot on. Tiffany's lido buffet had a variety of foods for breakfast, lunch & dinner something for everyone which we enjoyed very much. My husband went to Guy's Burgers & of course loved it, I tried the Guy's Veggie Burger which you have to get from the Deli area is really good definitely would get it again. My son frequent trips to swirls, pizza pirate & of course lunch from the deli favorite grilled cheese & fries.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Water works is so much fun our 5 year old loved it, pools and hot tub very nice and not overcrowded at all. Putt putt golf (mini golf) was so much fun for all of us.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Entertainment was EXCELLENT! Stage shows, Hasbro family game show, Clue, Towel animal class & theater, Seuss a paloza, Build a bear, Mega Deck party & 80's Epic party & the funnest Love & Marriage show w/ Chris...I swear we laughed & smiled the entire cruise.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
This was the 1st time at camp carnival for our 5 year old son (he didn't want to go last year) it started off as we let him go just for 1 hour to see if he liked it, to him begging us every day to go to Camp. The staff is impeccable & truly understand children. Camp Carnival has a very thought out & precise daily activity schedule full of fun for every age child. Our son made wonderful friends and great memories.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I can't state this enough the staff on Carnival cruise lines are some of the best people I've ever met in my life. Our room steward John was genuinely a great person always with kind words & a beautiful smile he is such a dedicated hard worker. Our cruise director Chris & Brad made our experience fabulous our son was just star stuck by these "famous" people that was so kind and generous to us. There are so many people's names I'm forgetting the gentleman that played Mr.Green we just loved him as much as Brad & Chris. There was a particular woman in the Lido deck that we all just adored Stephanie, my son told her he was going to marry her, she's beautiful & has the best cakes (mind you he's 5 lol). Our wait staff at main dining was fabulous & the staff at the Musical Cafe was great, coffee was terrific our favorite was the cold Frappuccinos ( mine mocha / hubby triple chocolate) and I'm already missing the chocolate cake we shared (it's huge & delicious) I really wish I would have tried the carrot cake.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was immaculately clean, very good shape, we actually loved the design a bit more than the Fantasy. The "public" bathrooms were always cleaned and stocked , main areas, our cabin, restaurants and every "public" area we went was always clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We loved our cabin, very comfortable beds & beautiful view. Our room was always clean, neat, tidy and smelled fresh & clean. Our room steward John kept everything spotless.

Ship tip

Eat the chocolate cake from the Musical Cafe, try the specialty coffees and thoroughly look for the positives & enjoy your vacation. Adult note: watch the Love & Marriage Show

Ports of call

Jacksonville, Florida

Embarking was fast & everyone was so friendly.

Nassau, Bahamas

Junkanoo beach is very pretty, Red Frog was really nice, and the Pirates of Nassau Museum was great. We just walked around shopped and looked at the city areas, we wasn't for sure how we'd like Nassau from other people reviews, all the locals were so friendly, not pushy or demanding (even at straw market) we got a few nice souvenirs and enjoyed quite a few hours in port. Nassau is a nice area that is trying to build itself up with really nice people. We will definitely be back to visit and take in more sites & culture. *No Excursion

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
Omgoodness we are in love, I'd live there if we could. The water is beautiful, the sand is like no other sand we ever seen soft like baby powder. The children's splash park area & playground was fabulous. The BBQ lunch buffet served is very nice; I'm vegan & had plenty of food/choices to eat, my husband enjoyed the burgers/ our son enjoyed hotdog & fresh fruit/veggies plenty enough food for everyone . Spent the entire day having a beach day and enjoyed every minute of it.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Embarking was just simple & easy. We opt to do the overnight checked bags so we don't have to lug around our luggage to breakfast & everywhere. We have a nice breakfast, wait at Tiffany's on Lido until they call our number walk to gang way, the line moves super fast, we picked up our scanned luggage in our # section head to customs counter, clear customs, porter takes luggage to our shuttle, then off to pick up our car. Easy Disembark, no headaches, no lugging around heavy luggage and quick.
