Overall, it was fine. The staff are hard working people and made it more enjoyable. The other passengers, however, did not. But tht's what happens when you get a whole bunch of people in one spot for multiple days.

The kid singing and playing piano was awesome. Talented voice and playing. He was also hilarious, and took almost all requests. Great fun. A++++

My husband and I hated that the casino was an open area and all that gross cigarette smoke wafted into the atrium and hallways. If they want to kill themselves smoking, that's one thing; however, I don't want to inhale their nasty second hand smoke. Close the casino off to help that a little.

Our head steward was Komang and from the first time we met him (first time checking out our room) he was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Throughout our stay he accommodated us and met our every need. Our room was perfect each day it was turned down. A +++++
Our servers for dinner were Made Andre, Nengrace and Naro. They provided excellent service every night for dinner. And Made Andre knew us and our names the second morning of the cruise and striked up conversation with us, even though he wasn't even our server that morning-we were very impressed with him. Throughout the evenings at dinner, the three servers did everything in their power to make sure all of us at our table were happy. There was one couple at our table (424) that seemed pretty difficult, and they went above and beyond in mine and my husband's opinion, to satisfy them. One night it was my husband's bday and they brought out a cake and sang a fun and different song, which was appreciated. And the cute and fun entertainment and dancing from the three of them was enjoyable.
The bartender we visited the most (on purpose bc he was awesome) was Wayan at the Red Frog. He was impressively fast and efficient with the amount of people who were at the bar in additon to the pool servers. Every time we were there, he was so busy, but still made conversation and jokes with us and others. Great bartender.
Carnival Elation is lucky to have great servers, stewards, and bartenders like Made Andre, Nengrace, Naro, Komang, and Wayan.

We liked having the balcony and king bed. And our steward and staff keep it clean every day!
Ship tip
Be ready to do some "people watching!" There are definitely characters on this cruise!
It was a little chaotic getting off the boat. We were waiting to have our deck number called and there was no real starting of a line, everyone we ran into was trying to figure it out too.
