Review summary

The Elation was a major disappointment from previous cruises we have taken with carnival, mostly because of the food quality, temperature, and availability. Entertainment and mixed drinks are still good. MarQ was a great cruise director. Don't waste your money on the Atlantis excursion. It's an overrated water park and we've been to nicer beaches at other hotels for way less.

We used fo look forward to food. It has gone way downhill since our first cruise a year ago. Having to pay extra for the good steaks and lobster and room service. Deserts not as good. Constantly out of food on salad bar. Buffets not open as long and poor quality food on them. The food is the biggest reason we won't be back. Food was consistently served cold even at evening dining. Took forever to get pizza.

Had to wait for seating at dinner. Never had same server like previous cruises. Asked for room to be cleaned twice a day, but they only cleaned once.

My wife and I chose Anytime Dining and if we like a server, we request his/her table and arrive at 5:45 to make it easy. We get the same wait staff every time. Once again, the OP has no history, no photos, no profile pic... Just dropped in to criticize everything... We were on the Elation in April and really enjoyed it. Nothing like this person described.

If you choose the your time dining you will wait and you won’t get the same server, do your research and know what you are doing. If you want the same person each time, have a set time and then you get a set table and server. And I have been on elation twice, going a third time in September, I can honestly say I was never served cold food and zero complaints. There are still free items on the room service menu, but they have also added premium items that have a small charge. And the reason you wait for pizza is because they cook it to order, which takes time, it’s fresh not a microwave pizza, and since it’s cooked to order, you would NOT get cold food...
