Review summary

All in all, an amazing trip! I ate too much good food, but there was a state of the art gym to help with that! The staff is amazing, and you will leave feeling like you are leaving your friends. I will take another cruise very soon.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
From the second we arrived in Jacksonville, we were on vacation. The process was fast and easy. We never seemed to wait at all. We were through security and given our room keys within minutes of arriving. Everyone was so friendly!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We started at the open buffet right away and the food and drink options seemed endless. The staff is so friendly and the ambiance was inviting. The burgers at Guy's burger joint were the best I have ever had. The dining in the restaurants, well I do not have enough space here to go on about the food. It was upscale dining to the max. The food was so fresh, plated so pretty, and the temperature was perfect every time. The staff, again, was amazing. I could not get enough of the variety and the taste. The room service was just as tasty. Our 15 year old son lived at the 24 hour pizza bar.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We always had something to do! Bingo with BK was a highlight, as well as the onboard musicals. The talent carnival has is outstanding. We were NEVER bored! The trivia was hard, which was great. The photographers always get your best side, so be sure to buy a photo package before you go!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Cruise director Kevin should be on board EVERY carnival ship. He was AMAZING!!! Couple that with BK and the performers from the fun of the musicals and the entertainment is endless. I will never understand how they all remember our names and what we like to do. You honestly feel like you are the only one on the ship. They treat you like lifelong friends. The next cruise we take will be on the Carnival Sensation, just so we can see Kevin again!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room stewards were fabulous. Everything was always so perfect and of course, they knew us all by name and would ask about our days :) Our wait staff was a pleasure and we were always happy to see them!

Ship Quality

The ship was beautiful!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was so roomy!! There was plenty of space for all of our stuff and the temperature was always perfect!

Ship tip

The WiFi leaves a ton to be desired. It was unfortunate to pay for something that usually did not work that great. We needed it for our high schooler to do her homeowork in google classroom, which worked on her MacBook. However, the iPhones, even the newest ones, were spotty at best. Pictures would not post on my son's snapchat or instagram. iMessage did work, so that was good! I saw a lot of people bringing soda on the ship with them. I did not know you could do that. The soda is not included on the cruise, but you can buy a soda package. It is $7 something a day.

I love Kevin! He is really the best. And he’s the funniest person I’ve ever met.
