Had a wonderful time. Can't wait until October when we sail again on the Elation. The weather was beautiful, water a little chilly but once you got use to it you were fine. HMC is one of the most beautiful ports I've ever seen!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Even though we had a 4 hour delay due to fog it was quick and easy.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was really good and so were the drinks! Pizza was better than on other ships I've sailed.

Tiffany's Lido Restaurant

Never had a problem finding a clean table
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Didn't do alot of the activities, sailing with a newbie that didn't really want to do much. Next time she's on her own and we'll go do what we want to do! We did get in the lido pool, water was VERY COLD! Hot tubs were always full.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Ship was very clean and the staff was excellent as always! Gada was our room steward and took real good care of us! We celebrated our anniversary and when we came in the room one evening he had wrote on our mirror wishing us a happy anniversary and left a $50 spa gift card. In the dining room they sang to us and gave us a little chocolate cake with a candle. Friends in the next cabin celebrated both their birthdays and they also got a cake and a song in the dining room and spa cards.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
This was our 3rd time on the Elation and first since it was in dry dock last fall. Everything looked good. Was glad to finally have a room without the gold curtains and throw on the bed!
Cabin / Stateroom

the Elation being a smaller ship the ocean view rooms don't have the sofa in the room but the room didn't feel cramped at all. Wish there had been more drawers (only 2 and the one at the vanity with the hairdryer in it). Guess we've gotten use to the 3 closets and drawers that are on the larger ships. We were very close to the atrium (3 or 4 doors down and it got quite noisy. Have stayed close before but it seemed to be worse this time.
Ship tip
Don't book real close to the atrium, you will hear all of the music and cheering from the bar!
Had been to Nassau in 2010 and it was filthy. To our surprise it was cleaned up and the traffic didn't seem to be as bad as it was then. After our visit in 2010 we had said we'd make it a ship day if we ever went again. We got off only because we had 2 women traveling with us (one had never cruised before and the other had only been once and they stuck to us like glue). If we hadn't gotten off the ship they wouldn't have either and felt that wasn't fair to them. Surprisingly we really enjoyed ourselves and are looking forward to our return in October.
There aren't enough stars to rate HMC!!!! LOVED IT! The water was a little chilly but once you got use to it you were fine! Such pretty water and sand. Loved that there wasn't someone walking up and down the beach trying to sell you bags, shirts or wanting to braid your hair! The free BBQ was also good. Burgers were way better than Guy's Burgers!!!!! I'm not a fan of Guy's.
We had a 2 hour delay docking. We had purchased FTTF. Had zone 2 luggage tags. Thought they would do disembarkation like they do the embarkation (wedding, Diamond/platinum, FTTF then zones) If we got a paper telling us to meet in a certain place for disembarkation I missed it. They called those doing self assist and then it was zones 1-10! Friends had zone 12, they were 2 people behind us in customs. I guess maybe because of the delay they were trying to get everyone off quickly but not what I expected.
