Enjoyed the cruise but a bit more sleazy feel than elegant feel to the experience. Entertainment was a bit redundant, would have liked more variety in the entertainment options. Also, this ship did not have quiet places where one could go to read and relax -- the library was used a waiting area for dining room and/or booked with private parties.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was smooth and easy.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Main dining room was nice, buffet was okay. Buffet staff were not very attentive. The deli, pizza, and Guy's Burger Joint could have used additional help at peak times -- waited in line a very long time to get served.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Cruise director tried too hard to be funny -- made everything a bit suggestive. (e.g. Marriage Game is more fun if you just let the couples play and answer as they want, he changed their answers to make them more sexual.)
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Best show was the Rock show where the singers just provided a concert.
Children's Programs
No kids in our party.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Cabin stewards and dining room staff were great. Buffet staff were very slow and not very attentive, especially at breakfast -- empty items and had to wait for them to replenish boiled eggs, etc.

Cabin / Stateroom

Noise from above at all hours of the day and night(I believe the kitchen was directly above our cabin) -- sounded like heavy equipment being moved across the floor.
Surprised at how nice this beach area was -- great day at the beach. Just be sure to have water shoes if you plan to walk on the beach or go in the water.
Great detailed review! I went on that ship in the late 90s, it’s definitely an old one. I have found that Princess is a much more mature and laid back clientele than Carnival.
@funboomer47 it’s not a matter of it being Carnival. That is one of the oldest and smallest ships. It was built in early 90s and doesn’t have much. Newer ships (like the vista) which do long trips are not “party boats” at all
I love the Triump, so much im on same cruise in Jan. Im not big on the larger ships and this one was perfect size. Shows were great. L&M show is getting old with same questions and ive even talked to the winners and they said its the 4th time they have won.. now thats a bit much. Loved Guys &blue iguana
We alwats avoid peak times and never hardly had waits on this ship. I never ate at buffet while on this last time but ive never noticed many empty items. I think cruises are what you make them and i havent had one complaint yet. Ready to get back on on 35 days!
All of these issues are kind of anticipated if you go on one of the oldest (cheapest) ships in the fleet. For elegance and variety you really need to sail on a Ship built in the mid 00s or later
