Review summary

This ship was supposed to have been recently updated but there were many things that did not work. 2-3 elevators were out the entire cruise, 2 whirlpools did not work and maintenance were replacing/repairing tiles during our cruise. There was an empty coke can and a nasty stain on our pillow case upon first arriving to our cabin. The air conditioner in our cabin quit working and required maintenance. The shows were sub par at best. The food was excellent and the shower was amazing (plenty of hot water and water pressure)! the only 2 really positive aspects of the ship. My wife and I really were disappointed We have traveled Royal Caribbean in the past and plan on using them again in the near future. We would not recommend Carnival to our family/friends and we do not plan on using them again based on this experience. The Love and Marriage show should not allow minors at all and should be a night/late night show. i know it says 18 and up recommended but there were children in there who appeared to be 5-6 years old and they should not have been in there. We had an ocean view room on the 7th deck and our window on the outside was filthy. I understand it is not east to clean the outside of the window but we were still disappointed. Overall my wife and I rate this cruise a 4-5/10 at best.

You know it is possible to disagree and not be immature about it. The OP is entitled to his opinion and I appreciate him taking time to write a review.

Hope that coming out of a dry dock, the ship would have been in better condition😕

As a side note, Kevin CD reminds people many many times throughout the Love and Marriage show that it is not for young ones, after that, it’s on the parents to decide if it’s appropriate, not the ship staff.

Fake News! Goodbye!

Sorry, you were disappointed. Nothing worst than planing and paying for a vacation and being let down.

When cruising, don't set your expectations too high and if you are not happy with a particular ship, don't go back. Stick with what wirks for you. I like trying all the different lines and tend to sail with a couple that best suit my lifestyle. Best of luck on your next adventure. Remember to always be grateful for what you have in life...including the bad cruises. LOL!

Sorry you didn't have a very good time. Yes the Elation had some updates but that doesn't mean it's not an older ship. Good to hear they are continuing maintenance though. Glad you liked the food. Quality of shows is always subjective; they can't please everyone. I agree about kids in the adult only shows. Parents should have some responsibility but Carnival should also enforce it also. Too bad you couldn't find enough positives to make it enjoyable; it seems most people still have fun on the Elation.

Wow. Speechless.

Wow that stinks that you were so disappointed in your cruise. We were on the Elation less than a year ago and it was wonderful.
