Review summary

Would not recommend sailing on the Elation.  The ship is in bad need of refurbishing.  The service was fine, however the disembarkment  was complete chaos with little or no communication was the process started.  The dress code for dinner was anything goes.  Saw baseball hats, cutoff jeans, and overall sloppy dress.  Thought resort casual was supposed to mean some type of quorum.

First off, a "quorum" refers to the minimum number of members needed to conduct business... NOT about dress codes...

Wife & I did a B2B,  Feb 6 - 16... LOVED it.  Going back for a family cruise in December.

Yeah I also thought the same too. I mean it was not a terrible experience on Elation but for the kind of money we paid I expected better.  These views were echoed by  a seasoned traveller on carnival cruises who told me he thought this trip was below average in his 20 years of cruising

The Elation will be in dry dock in September for upgrades/refurbishment.

We just sailed in January and had a wonderful time. Going back in May.

We did a Journeys cruise on her last April to the southern Caribbean. Best cruise EVER and my fav ship so far.

I do recommend the Elation. I sailed on her in September and loved it! Don't be concerned starmyfire. I would go again on her. Look around, you'll find other happy cruisers... I think all cruises, and cruise lines, are slipping when it comes to dress in the dining rooms. I wish maitre d's would be more firm in enforcing dress standards...
