Review summary

This was my first cruise and after reading some reviews about it I was skeptical. But I absolutely loved it! Everyone was so friendly and the shows were entertaining.  It was so much fun and never a dull moment. Our room attendants Michael and Charlene( spelling is probably way off) were amazing and extremely friendly. Rolly and I Putu made our dining experience even more enjoyable every night at dinner. I would recommend this cruise to anyone and think it's the perfect cruise for first timers.

This is my sweety and i's first time on a cruise. I Care nothing about the size. We just wanna have a great time and create some magical moments together. Hope to meet you all in 10 days. Jeff and Slu.

Just my opinion, but To me, it's the same comparison of a Boeing 737 being a smaller passenger jet compared to a 747... but there are a number of reasons why I prefer 737s for international flights. Same with Fantasy class ships. Small(er) is relative.

So glad to see all the positive comments about the Elation. This will be my first time in a smaller ship. This is my 6th cruise but I'm cruising with 6 first timers and we decided to do a 4 day just in case someone didn't like it. Lol. We leave March 2. Thanks for the feedback.

We sailed in the Elation in September and really enjoyed it. We have sailed larger ships as well, and we've enjoyed them all, larger ships and Fantasy Class ships alike. We always plan to have fun, not look for details to critique. We also do our research and don't get shocked when the ship is what it is, and not what something we were just hoping for, then complain when it isn't...

She is a small ship so you may experience rough seas, but if you do not suffer from sea sicknesses it will be fine.

Read your review we are going on our first cruise in 23 days so excited but I have heard there was rough seas did u have any of that ? Any suggestions of what to do first ?

We love the Elation, she is a s.all ship, but she has character, the sraff is very friendly and the casino bar always has something going on. The comedy show was great. We miss having her here in New Orleans.

Thanks yankandbrit!!! I am soo looking forward to all the Christmas decorations and just being away from all the hustle and bustle here and to enjoy time with my Husband and Daughter :)

Have a great time @stalliagyspy and readytosail2... she'll be decorated for the holidays and the Atrium is just stunning with its steampunk era design trimmed in holiday finery! 🚢

My husband and I sail in 24 days on her. For our very first time ever on a cruise. I have read so many bad remarks. I'm going to get away.....I have no expectations ....so I'm sure. It will be fine.,,,....

Sailing in 38 days and i am so glad to see some positive feedback!! Agree with earlier poster that said that people should appreciate that they are on "holiday" :) some people will never get to experience what we are so lucky to!!!

Our honeymoon and first cruise was on Elation when she was in Mobile. We fell in love with her and cruising and actually really prefer the Fantasy class ships. Sailed her again last year and she was still fine. Love the smaller crowd and the intimate feel of the experience. Glad to see others appreciate her as well!🚢

I agree. Ive read more negative feedback on this site that i just dont believe there are so many people who dont appreciate the fact they are on holiday nor the effort of so many people around them so THANKS for posting your positive feedback. K from Australia.

My maiden cruise was on the Elation. Staff surpassed that on the other two and bigger ships that I have sailed.

Thank you for your review. I board in 39days. There have been some awful things said about this ship and I am taking a 1st timer with me. Didn't want her to be turned off of cruising. Glad you enjoyed your cruise, shneeka8.
