Review summary

This was my first time going on a boat cruise and the experience was the most horrible thing I've ever done. the staff on this Cruise work rude I'm a smoker I had to stand the whole time if I wanted to smoke because the bar that has smoking on the boat has only four chairs and then this invisible line in the same room of non-smokers and ain't nobody sitting over there and the staff would make you move one chair over would not recommend this for anyone

My cabin room was the best part of my cruise the attendant was very helpful and nice it's too bad they didn't have more of them around the boat

Ship tip

Was told that there was only one more cruise going out and that was the last one then they were retiring the boat if I had known that there was no way I was going to get on a boat that was being retired on my first cruise or one that I had standing room only to smoke I checked on that too

This thread got off track. The point of my comment above was that the one star rating was given based on a very limited aspect of the cruise ship (which was how inconvenient it was to light up) . It wasn't about whether or not people should smoke. What about the cabin, the food, the staff, entertainment, embarkation/disembarkation process, etc? Did that one aspect ruin the entire cruise?

There are no facts about secondhand smoke. Y'all keep clinging on to that research study about secondhand smoke. The same research study that the US Supreme Court called the most irresponsible piece of research they've ever seen in their lives. Second hand smoke is no worse than you breathing the exhaust of all the cars that drive around you. I sure don't see you giving up your car. In our society smokers have been judged inappropriate and unhealthy even though it is perfectly legal. Which by the way gives everybody free reign to beat up discriminate and basically kick smokers every chance they get. I don't care how you look at it. it is no different then attacking somebody because they're black, Muslim or gay. It's discrimination plain and simple. If you don't like smoking stay the hell away from it. And by the way I don't believe I ever said I was a smoker.

Daghmor- I understand that you a smoker, TOTALLY your right. equally MY right not to breathe your by-product. I can't imagine you want your grandchildren lighting up... You KNOW what the facts are, even for second hand, especially when it comes to the young and those with weakened systems. I don't care what you do as long as it doesn't affect me and the other individual doesnt get hurt (with your lungs, with your spouse, with your dog)

There are several smoking area options, perhaps you needed to explore a little more to find a better choice. As a non smoker, I'm pretty thankful that I know where the smoking areas are so I can avoid them. What's really sad, is that something like not being able to sit while you smoke, would ruin what could have been an awesome vacation. Cruising isn't for everyone...

Your first mistake was you went on a 4 day cruise. On 4 day cruises they treat you like cattle Your second mistake is you went to the Bahamas. Sorry but in my personal opinion the Bahamas it's just freaking nasty and hot. Your third mistake if you went with Carnival Cruise Lines. Beach party boat with the cheapest cruise fare you can find. No offense but you got exactly what you paid for.
