Review summary

The Carnival Elation is one of the smallest and oldest ships in the Carnival fleet, so don't expect to be impressed by the amenities. However, because it holds fewer passengers, it's friendlier and easier to get to know people. Staff and guests alike were very friendly, and everyone really seemed to have a good time. I would recommend this ship to anyone who places Fun over First Class.

Our cabin steward was very friendly and accommodating. She also did a great job cleaning our cabin and leaving us fun towel creations.

Ship tip

Make sure to go to the Comedy Club. The comedians were hilarious!

The Elation is a Fantasy Class ship and is typical of that class. This will be the 4th Fantasy Class for us and #5 in Mar. We've also sailed on the "big boys" and we enjoy them all, both large and not as large, for their unique characteristics.

The Dream just left this week for the Bahamas and Key West. I just got off of it last week. The crew said that was their next itinerary

I'm positive. Nassau, Freeport and Key West. It's listed under Carribean cruises.

I don't think it does.. I know it goes to Belize, Cozumel, and Roatan, and then Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica....

Nolabeauty, the Dream has a Bahamas itinerary.

Frysgal, I totally understand. We are from Nola and we are driving to Jax port just to sail to HMC, I wish the cruises from here would sail to the Bahamas.

We have sailed on the Elation out of New Orleans 3 times. We always had great service, good food and lots of fun. I don't have one complaint.

I loved cruising on the Elation. My personal opinion was it was a nicer ship than the Conquest. Or maybe it's the atmosphere. It was a much more pleasant experience for me.
