Review summary

We had the absolute BEST staff possible.. From our room steward, who took very good care of us, to our waiters--very funny, helpful and nice. To the Cruise Director, Stuart, who does his job with energy and humor. Definitely kept us laughing! Even on the last day when he jokingly announced that we had arrived in "Honolulu" when it was actually San Diego. The ship was in good shape and we felt pampered. This was to celebrate our 25th Anniversary, and we wish we hadn't waited so long for our first cruise. We wanted to book another one right after we got off the ship!

Ports of call

Catalina Island, California

We really enjoyed Catalina. Some said the thing to do is rent a golf cart, but we didnt know our way around so we opted to take the open air shuttle and get on and off for $6 each all day. Botanical gardens are fast but fun to see, Descanso (sp?) Beach is a relaxing must see, shopping. Plenty of nice lunch places, but we were ready to head back to the ship around 2-3 pm, so just ate our wonderful FREE food on board.
Don't Miss: Wrigley Botanical Gardens, tour the Casino, Descanso Beach, shopping of course!

Pros: Everything provided.. take such good care of you.. relaxing.

Cons: Having to wait to debark.. kind of a process that seems like could go smoother.
