The decor was not very modern, but was pleasing and clean. Nothing seemed new, but nothing looked like it needed repair.

Because I have read so many negative reviews of the food on this ship, I was expecting the worst. In truth the food was pretty good. Especially in the dining room - also, I just ordered several dishes so that I knew there would be something that I liked.

Entertainment

Unless you love to be surrounded by drunks, loud low quality music, and the sound of gambling machines, there isn't that much else to do. Pool water was freezing and in a loud very rowdy area. Jacuzzi temps were far too low - unuasbe at night when the outside air temp cooled. Mini-golf was about the only thing we really found to enjoy as a family.

We wanted to enjoy this cruise with our 4 year old child - not shove him out of site, so we did not use the service. Most people we spoke to on the ship seemed happy with it though

Our room staff was amazing, the buffet dining staff were miserable and the dining room staff were very difficult to understand and did NOT want any special requests AT ALL.

We enjoyed the great weather, renting a golf cart for a couple of hours and cruising around, grabbing lunch and eating it on the beach and then doing the semi-submersible submarine tour. Great activity for kids.

Pros: clean ship, good enough food

Cons: cheap "party" vibe

Recommends Carnival Elation? No.
