Review summary

As a group of Christian ladies I only wish there had been a alcohol free level of the boat. Anytime you wanted a bottled water or soda you had to order from a bar. Would be nice to have a serenity area for the non drinkers on the ship. Seems as though there is a lot of attention paid to making sure the alcohol is available, once the waiter came by and asked for drink orders, I ordered a bottled water and 30 minutes later I had to get up and go get my on water. However the two gentlemen in front of us received their beer in less than 5 minutes. Don’t think cruising is for me and my friends and family. It was a nice experience but definitely a once in a lifetime for this Christian Girl! Do you offer a alcohol free cruise? If so please send me information.

Mabsback makes a good point. Choosing a short Carnival cruise will almost guarantee you are traveling with a young party crowd. Choose the ship wisely but they make their revenue on the bar sales. Same as any restaurant.

I don’t think they do an alcohol free cruise. However you would probably like Holland America better. It doesn’t usually have a large party crowd on the ships. There is still alcohol on the ship just a more older mature crowd. Some ships even have church service on Sunday

The coffee shop sells water bottles too. I am also a Christian girl and have been on 34 cruises with 4 booked. I love my cruises. Instead of making yourself look exalted, you have achieved the opposite. While politely stated it cannot hide the “holier than thou” attitude in your heart. One of my favorite stories is that of Christ turning water into wine at the request of His mother. It’s not the alcohol, it’s the person. We need to show compassion for all of God’s people.

Everyone got their opinion to put anything, or say anything, if you are a believer or not, if you are a Christian no matter where you go what vacation you go You will shine because you have the Light, of Jesus because Jesus is the light of the World's, and as Christians we have to make a Difference Between Darkness,,and every where we go and show the Love of Jesus Christ. I have met a lot of beautiful people in my cruises in difference Islands and people tell us Wow " I like your positive energy your attitude ", that tell you its the LIGHT OF JESUS they see. so when we go cruising we have fun, we dont drink, but we enjoy our self because we love to have a good vacation. Have a bless day..

We have bottles of water in cabin. Stewards always keep ice there for us. We also have water bottles that we full and keep with us.

Actually there are Christian chartered cruises where there is no alcohol, I'm sure it costs a lot more but they are out there and I know of one who is just waiting to get the amount needed to charter one before they book a chartered cruise.

Could not agree more with theseasforme Jesus made it a point to walk with the sinners and so should any Christian (not saying the drinkers are sinners! Just saying!) some ships and some cruises are more of a party atmosphere than others You will get a completely different vibe on celebrity or princess or holland America than on carnival- of all lines they would definitely be at the top of the list for “party cruises” They will never make cruises non alcoholic frankly it’s one of the biggest parts of a cruise! Be strong enough in your faith and beliefs that it doesn’t affect you! Let God’s love show through you anywhere you go Christianity is not a members on lt club it’s for everyone- ESPECIALLY those who may have sin in their life, sitting next to you on the pool deck may be someone’s only exposure to a Christian person so make sure they see it as a good thing not a bad thing!

I'm a Christian and love cruising! People who consume alcohol or being around alcohol does not bother me or offend me in any way. I usually drink a glass of wine with my dinner and that makes me no better than anybody else who drinks. I have a travel water bottle I fill up with either water or lemonade and drink on that throughout the day and order my coffee and such inside at the coffee bar and shake shop. Try not to be intolerant and show others what God really was made of, Love! Showing intolerance and acting like you're better than that only turns people away from God. I may get criticism for this post but hey...it's ok. Drink on that bottle of water around a gaggle of people drinking alcohol...who knows, you may intice someone to put down their alcohol and grab a bottle of water! Be an example and not part of the problem...putting your nose up and refusing to go where the problem is doesn't help anything. Maybe cruising isn't for you.

I’m a Christian and love cruising! Not going to get into individual beliefs but there is room for moderation in both. The people on my cruise were not undignified or overindulging in any way. Water is always available in the dispensers just inside the buffet entrance for free. We took yetis to keep water at all times.

I'm a Holy Ghost filled Christian and LOVE cruising!!! Yes it would be nice if they had a area for us Christians! We go on Christian cruises now run by brother and sisters of our faith "Apostolic", but it isn't a chartered ship so it is something we just deal with, just like out in the world. Sorry you are so disappointed,I would give cruising another try!

There is water and lemonade stations on the pool deck. There is really no reason to order a bottle of water.

I really don’t think you will ever find one. Cruise lines make most of their money on the alcohol bought onboard. That is why they will let cruise cabins go cheap at the last minute, because they make more money off a full ship, once that person is onboard. I’ve been crusading for smoke free ships for years, and hopefully that may happen someday, but I’m not holding my breath on that one. Alcohol free?? It will NEVER happen. I’m not a big drinker—maybe 3 drinks a day when cruising—but I would not be happy if my cruise was alcohol free. I’m thinking if it bothers you to see people consuming alcohol, perhaps Cruising is the wrong vacation for you. But no matter what you choose—an all inclusive resort, or any resort—you are not going to find it alcohol free.
