Review summary

Overall the cruise good however my next cruise will not be on Carnival.  The level of service has gone down.  My cabin steward said he could only service our cabin once a day (instead of twice) because he had more cabins to take care of.  Bar waiters were only in certain areas at certain times.  Bingo prize amounts changed from when they were announced to when they were deposited to on-board accounts.  Charges to on-board accounts were done by hand for Bingo and some did not appear until days later.  Charges appeared for Bingo even when there was not a game.  Guest Services could only send an inquiry to the bingo staff.  Then you wait for a response from them.  There were three adult people in my Ocean View Suite and none of the bills were correct.  Disembarking was total chaos - everyone came down at once, the elevators and stairs were packed.  The line wrapped around the lobby multiple times.  Worse than any other cruise I have been one - this was my sixth cruise.

Our room steward was named Komang, and he was awesome! Do you people realize that they have 36 cabins that they have to change out every day? So for someone to act like a complete slob who needs their room cleaned twice a day, I really pitty you. Understand that these workers come from thousands of miles away, often leaving their families behind for months in search of a better paying job and still make way below minimum wage daily. And, they bust their ass for tips that have to be shared between 3 or 4 other people. We felt privileged to be able to get to know our room steward, and we didn't think twice about giving him a gift of thanks from one of the ports, as well as leaving him a thank you note and hefty tip at the end. We miss you Komang. And for all of those people complaining, chill the F out and put yourself in their shoes for a different perspective.

We were asked to check which we wanted.. am .. pm ... or both. ?? From our room steward as soon as we approached our cabin the first day. And he never forgot our names whenever we saw him.

Carnival has changed to service once a day. Which is plenty. Don't know how you all survive with just once a day. But it is my understanding they will do it twice if you ask.

I'm with tooteebug on this one. I guess people come on a cruise to make a mess so someone else will clean up after them. Most people don't clean their house twice a day. When I leave my cabin all I need is new towels, not for somebody to clean up after me.

Why would you want room service twice a day? I love carnival, they work so hard and are so nice!

OK Idahozena Where are your past cruises? I do not believe that your cabin steward said he could only do your cabin once a day. Carnival has its shortcomings BUT SERVICE is not one of them. I have been on 15 Carnival cruises and they have the best staff on the seas. You did not mention any food, entertainment, condition of ship, etc. Only BINGO?? Review entire cruise!!!!!

I'm sure they have cut back on staff so much to save money they are going to loose cruisers get your act together carnival people are paying for a service and expect it or they will go elsewhere.

I found the Bigger ships give less service. Last year we did the Dream then the Triumph. Triumph service was hands down the better of the two.
