Review summary

The cruse was very nice and clean, the staff worked hard to make the trip a comfortable cruse. We liked the food and thought the variety was satisfactory.  I would definitely book this cruse again. The only con is the unsupervised kids running around. I really can’t hold that against the cruise line.

Sorry anthony40, but I do have thick skin and as you so nicely put it you cruise around your wife's birthday, well good for you. I don't have that opportunity because i have to be in school at that time of year and I really know how kids are these days because I am a teacher and I see the disrespect daily from both students and parents. So my skin is very thick. All I was commenting on is there is good and not so good kids on the ships and that parents as well as their kids need to be aware of that and act accordingly. So thank you for pointing that out to me.

Sexygardengal grow some thicker skin. I did not see where any comment was directed directly to you. Yet you resent someone's observations. IMHO parents do dump em out on a cruise. Some of the kids are nice and polite and some are not. Summer time, Christmas and spring break are times I avoid cruising. I do a twofer and book around Valentines because it is also around my Wife's birthday.

Agreed... The first cruise we took our kids on they were amazed at all the crazy kids and disrespect they witnessed. Came back to the cabin and said WOW you would NEVER allowed us to act that way. They love to cruise and they walk around in the ships unsupervised at time but they know better and were taught to always be respectful and not act a fool. It is amazing how many there were like that. But like you've mentioned there are definitely some of both. For them it was a good visual of what not to do.

It is very noticable when children act as yours do...well brought up. It's also noticeable when they are not. The summer months just have more of both, and as usual, the bad behavers are more noticable, and ruin it for all.

As I feel that parents should parent their kids, I do kind of resent this comment as I have kids and have never just dumped them anywhere. My kids won't hang with others that are acting like little shits because they know the kind of trouble they will get into. I went at Christmas time and the kids on ship were worse than the summer cruises, I can tell you that. Most parents that allow their kids to act this way, let them act this way at home.

Never book in the summer...parents dump "em out "at the mall"! May and September are better.

Glad you enjoyed your cruise. There is nothing that you or the staff can do about parents who don't parent. We encounter this on every carnival ship we have been in. Our kids were 5 and 6 years old on our first cruise and have never acted like the kids we see on the cruise. Some parents feel they are on vacation from parenting as well.
