Checkin was pretty easy, especially considering the number of people on the ship. Once through checkin, entering the ship only took a few minutes. The ship was decorated beautifully and also was decorated for the holidays. The crew definitely aimed to please at checkin.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The Tandoor buffet was awesome. The rest of the food in the buffet was just okay. The desserts looked pretty but didn't taste like much. The dining room food was just okay except for the last night\, when it was awesome. The dining room was exquisitely decorated. The buffet needs to be open more hours. When people came back from shore excursions and were hungry\, all that was available was pizza\, burgers\, and hot dogs.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The shows were pretty good for a cruise ship. The music was really good\, especially in the piano bar. The comedy shows were excellent. The casino was good and the dealers at the Blackjack tables were really nice while taking all your money.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our dining room staff was awesome. They paid very close to attention to everything we could possibly want and would bring it before we even asked. As I said before\, housekeeping was just okay. The public areas on the ship were very clean.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship is the largest Carnival ship we have been on\, however\, it seems like they didn't expand the Lido deck area enough to cover the number of passengers on board. The pools were kind of small although there were at least two that I saw. The adult serenity area was very nice but not enough places to lounge as they were all taken very early in the day.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had an aft view balcony. The room was very large as was the balcony. The bed was way too comfortable. The room was in good shape and was clean. The room steward did a pretty good job cleaning the room but not so great on the balcony. There was a lot of soot from the stacks on the boat and we had to clean up every time we went out there because he didn't do it.
