Review summary

The engine disater was handled extremely well. The food was so-so, and monotonous. Fish was consistantly overcooked. Theater too small, if you weren't early by 20-30 minutes you were out of luck. Ads implied Guy Fieri and Sushi, not true.

Don't trust the buying guides. We did much much better on our own.

What engine disaster? A backup generator failed to work during a test. The generator (especially a backup unit) is not an engine and certainly not a disaster since it didn't catch fire or anything dramatic. They just felt it wasn't a safe bet to continue sailing from that last port without having a backup.

Glad you all got home safe! What part of the engine disaster was well handled? What did Carnival do well?
