Review summary

Ship is poorly designed. Like the Destiny, you can't walk all the way through on deck 3, bathrooms in the pool area are right beside where food is served and there is always a line of people in front of them. The library is so small that only three small groups can be in it at any time. The Spa area is an improvement on previous ships. The photo staff wasn't as pushy as on other ships.

Pros: Costa Maya was a port that we hadn't been to before, dining room staff was excellent

Cons: Public spaces not large enough for the number of people on board, a/c failed one night making it unbearably hot, felt movement more than on any other ship, even though we were midship on deck 9, luggage wasn't delivered, we had to go find it, no breakfast on Lido deck one morning before shore excurs

Recommends Carnival Dream? No.
