Review summary
This was our second time to Key West and Mexico on a short cruise. Over all the ship is well kept, the staff was very nice and the food was average. We have also sailed on Disney and Celebrity. I would prefer the first two ships and probably would not do a carnival cruise again if I had a choice. I would only book a room with a private balcony as we needed to be able to get away from the very busy decks, food areas and public areas. We are non smokers and found most of the lounges and bars to be VERY smokey after the first night. Our room did not have a smoke smell though. We did not utilize the bars or other night life that much as it became to smoky after 10pm. It was sort of a let down as we have loved on past cruises to mingle, dance and have a good time. Many people threw butts off the back of the ship (landed on our deck and chairs..fire issue as the staff told everyone). The obvious lack of care, respect, and manners was abundant from a very large portion of the vacationers. We did enjoy our vacation and the cruise...our room was clean and always nice. The staff was very helpful and friendly I can not say a bad thing about the ship or staff. Before picking a cruise think about what is most important to yourself and what you are looking to get out of your time spent on a cruise then make sure it matches the ship.Ship experiences
