Review summary

Port Everglades was a very busy port but for the amount of people that use the port, it went pretty smooth. Maybe that had to do with the fact that we checked in online and we arrived to the port inside our designated window of arrival at 12:30 (our window was between 12:30 and 1:30 i believe). Boarding the ship went pretty fast for us, in total it may have been 15 minutes between the time we got out of our Lyft (never again will we use that app in that area again) until the time we touched feet in the ship. When we arrived they informed us that the cabin wouldn't be ready until after 1:30 so we decided to get a small bite to eat being that our dinner for the Steakhouse was scheduled for 5:30 (you get a free bottle of wine dining with them, don't know if there's a limited supply but we decided to go the first night). I got food from the Lido Buffet and my husband got food from Blue Iguana. I must say thur good from the buffet was way better in my opinion. The buffet was packed but I managed to find a semi clean table that someone must've just gotten up from. We met a nice couple who asked if I would mind if they shared the booth with them. By the time we were finished eating and chatting we decided to go see if the room was actually done ( around 1:50) and it was. Both of the drink packages I ordered were there to my surprise. .... also to my surprise the room wasn't as clean as it should have been. The was good left inside the refrigerator, the desk and table went clean and neither was the shower. Luckily I was prepared with disinfectant wipes and spray and gloves. My husband called for some cleaner for the shower and for someone to come to clean all of the food out of the fridge. Our steward Gustavo responded pretty quick and apologized immensely for the lack of cleanliness. I had to wipe down everything in the room so if anyone gets that room know that everything from the walls, to the desk, to the door, to the bathroom were cleaned lol. From that day on our room was left spotless. Being that I recalled seeing the ship was refurbished in 2016 or 2017 I expected the ship to look more modern and not like its original 2002 self...WRONG!! Lol It's not horrible but they do need to update the cabins in my opinion. In my opinion, the buffet food was way better than the restaurant food. I will not waste my time next time with that... I'll stick to the Lido buffet. The service was ok as far as the eating areas. My steward Gustavo was awesome. Couldn't have asked for anyone better. He made sure our wants and needs were met. From the first night on, he realized my husband loved ice in our cabin so then we arrived from the ports to return to our room, we had a bucket of ice waiting for us. Wish I could get him everytime. The trip is really what you make it for yourself and we had a pretty nice time going on excursions. I know the staff have a lot of needs to meet but i guess i just expected more. My mistake was comparing to other experiences.

Great review. We was on her last month. Once the ship 🚢 comes in they have about 5 hours to get it together for the next group. Really not enough time but they do well. Our cabin was okay 👌 the first night 🌃 but great the rest of the time.
